The Next Generation Project: The Foundations of Power in the 21st Century? Technology, Finance, Innovation, and U.S. Global Policy
June 15, 2010
Topic(s)

As American and global life become consistently defined by technological advances, participants at the June 15, 2010 Assembly on “The Foundations of Power in the 21st Century? Technology, Finance, Innovation, and U.S. Global Policy"  advocated institutional flexibility and integrated economies as means of supporting the United States' competitive edge.  Entrepreneurial advances supported by government incentives were also seen as keys to success.

A panel on “Innovation, Economy, and Global Power,” was moderated by Patrick Gorman, Principal, Booz Allen Hamilton, with Andrew P.N. Erdmann, Engagement Manager, McKinsey & Co.; Felix Chang, Co-founder, Avenir Venture Group; and Dan Fletcher, Professor of Bioengineering & Biophysics, UC Berkeley, participating. A lunch address was given by Sonal Shah, Director, Office of Social Innovation and Civic Participation, White House Domestic Policy Council.
