This 1990 Assembly was co-sponsored by the World Resources Institute and focuses on global environmental issues, including population growth, deforestation, species loss, the ozone layer, energy, climate change, economic policies, and implications for U.S. policy.  The report from the April 1990 Assembly called for a halt to the buildup of greenhouse gases, a decrease in U.S. consumption patterns, a reverse of deforestation, and stabilization of world population before it doubles once again.
