"Rebuilding America's Legacy Cities" Book Launch, Brookings Institution, January 26, 2012
The American Assembly's new title "Rebuilding America's Legacy Cities: New Directions for the Industrial Heartland" was formally launched on January 26th at The Brookings Institution in Washington, DC. Project co-chair and former Secretary of Housing and Urban Affairs Henry Cisneros gave an address; project director Paul Brophy and co-chair and former Columbus Ohio Mayor Gregory Lashutka also furnished remarks.
Dan Kildee, President of the Center for Community Progress, joined a panel discussion with authors Hunter Morrison, Program Director of the Northeast Ohio Sustainable Communities Consortium; Lavea Brachman, Executive Director of the Greater Ohio Policy Center and Nonresident Senior Fellow at the Brookings Institution; and Alan Mallach, book editor and Brookings Nonresident Senior fellow.
