The Future of the Accounting Profession

Organized by Roderick M. Hills and Russell E. Palmer, the project sought to address the perceived crisis in the field after the collapse of Arthur Anderson--one of the 'big five' firms--in 2002. Two assemblies, one on the Accounting Profession (2003) and another on Auditor Concentration (2005) explored the structural problems of the field and their potential public policy remedies.
