Preserving the Global Environment

1991. Jessica Tuchman Mathews (ed.)
Topics:

This stimulating collection from a 1990 project co-sponsored by the World Resources Institute focuses on global environmental issues, including population growth, deforestation, species loss, the ozone layer, energy, climate change, economic policies, and implications for U.S. policy. A team of experts prepared the chapters to serve as background reading for an American Assembly held in April 1990, the final report of which is included here. The experience and knowledge of the authors is evident throughout, and the book makes a valuable contribution.
