"Reinventing America's Legacy Cities" report launched.

In April 2011 The American Assembly gathered eighty national experts to discuss the future of America's Steel Belt cities that suffer from decades of population and job loss. Recommendations included using market-driven development strategies to focus on the strongest neighborhoods while weaker areas are vacated and employed for more passive interim uses that require little public investment.
